Lexington Christian Academy

Education Rooted in Faith, Values, and Friendship

Feeling like you belong to a great, happy family at Lexington Christian Academy (LCA) is part of what makes this New England day and boarding school special. With an emphasis on academics, faith, and community values, LCA is home to approximately 310 students in grades 6-12, all of whom share a passion for learning and camaraderie.

LCA boasts numerous sports teams, diverse clubs, Academic Advising, and 21st Century opportunities. “We have a Concentrations Program for Fine Arts, STEM and Global Studies, which allows students to study an area which they are passionate about that may not be in our curriculum,” explained Director of Admission Cynthia Torjesen.

English Language Support

With 14% of students coming from overseas, LCA offers English language support to international students with varying levels of English proficiency. Depending on each student’s needs, they may enroll in LCA’s regular academic program with an extra English writing class or participate in the Intensive Academic English (IAE) program for more extensive support. Students also take an American Culture class to ensure a smooth transition to the US.

Location, Location, Location

Situated only 20 minutes from Boston, LCA’s suburban location provides for ample city excursions with a safe, tranquil home base. Studying at LCA is a truly American high school experience.

Most students are local day students, so those hailing from abroad have opportunities to visit American homes and meet the families of their new friends. “Students make a lot of long-term friendships here. Our graduates stay involved and stay connected which adds to our school culture and offers our students a broader perspective,” stated Torjesen.

Life After LCA

Graduates of LCA are accepted to prestigious four-year universities such as Harvard, Dartmouth, Duke, and Princeton. Some choose to attend Christian colleges, while others stretch their wings cross-country to attend University of California’s esteemed public universities.

LCA’s unique teaching approach prepares students for college success. “We want students to bring their hard questions; there is a lot of discussion in class,” said Torjesen. “It’s a school where faculty and students are actively engaged in learning.”
